About Us
A self-managed site, the Dartford East Allotments and Garden Association is run by plot holder for plot holders. Each voluntary committee member maintains their own allotment plot and new members are encouraged to play an active role in the sites management through the Annual AGM, or as a Committee Member.

With over sixty plots, spread out over a large site, you can choose what type of experience you have with us. You can become part of the wider community of plot holders, steering the allotment as part of the Committee, attend working parties to improve the site, sharing produce and tips with fellow gardeners. Making new friends and attending social events within the allotment. Or you can use your plot to create an oasis of peace and solitude.
How do I get an allotment?
Getting a plot here may seem like a remote dream, but as with any allotment, there are always spaces opening up, and the first step is to register your interest by joining our waiting list. Plots are offered on a first come first served basis, and you may decline a plot offered and remain on the waiting list if the plot is too big, too small, or too much of a challenge.
What to expect
Congratulations, you've got an allotment, so now what do you do, and what can you expect? Each plot holder has different objectives, but the committee is there to assist and we organise a number of event each year.
